The Boheme Fit and Flare - Sleeves / Pleated Sleeve
The pleated sleeve uses pieces 24 and 25.
Serge the edges before construction. The shorter edge of 25 should also be finished.
Stay stitch the pleats in place by sewing inside of the seam allowance.
Technically, this sleeve is an inset and needs no gathering, but I do like to add it here just in case. Any adjustments to the bodice or seams can occasionaly leave some excess, so it can be useful to have within the seam allowance.
Sew the seam together using a 5/8โ seam allowance and press open.
Sew the facing seam using a 5/8โ seam allowance and press open.
Pin the facing to the sleeve, right side to right side. The facing is slightly longer lengthways on one side - the shorter side should be pinned to the edge of the sleeve.
Sew using the 5/8โ seam allowance.
Trim the seam allowance down.
Flip the facing to the inside.
Pin well, pressing in needed to set the seam.
Sew, using a 5/8โ seam allowance. Press well again.
