1 - Rex A & B - Construction Thoughts and Pattern Pieces

I’ll be demonstrating using Rex A, the ankle pant. The straight and ankle pant are the same in the waist, zipper, and upper thigh. The ankle tapers slightly as it grades towards the ankle, as shown below. The cuff is added as a design element, but can be omitted if a slimmer pant is preferred.

B, the straight pant has the same construction methods, but includes a regular hem to finish.

REX Ankle Pant - Version A

1 - Front

3 - Waistband / I always suggest waiting to cut this OR cutting it with an additional 2”

4 - Ankle Cuff / Cut after hem has been set as leg tapers and the width will increase.

9 - Side Pocket

10 - Front Pocket

11 - Belt Loops

REX Sraight Pant - Version B

2 - Back

3 - Waistband / I always suggest waiting to cut this OR cutting it with an additional 2”

8 - No Eight Pattern Piece

9 - Belt Loops
