An Online Community

For those of you, who have followed a Challenging Sew over the last fourteen years, it’s definitely ebbed and flowed….

The premise was always to highlight the gorgeous, slow, sewing world of Couture, by adding techniques and elements to all of the garments that I made.

and, I find myself being drawn there again.

Today, we launched the online Community, for those that prefer to work at their own pace.

And it includes a sew along, where each quarter, we will decide as a collective which pattern to sew.

I’ll create a series of online videos and blog posts that explain all the methods I use when sewing a Couture garment, returning to what I love best.

So, bear with me, while we get started - this space will now be the main link for our studio pattern instructions as well as all new tutorials, YouTube videos, and short reels.

Thank you again for all your support and encouragement over the years.

And happy sewing!!

You’ve asked, and I think we’ve delivered.

Today we go live, and launch our new website, and online community, an extention of the studio for those who like to work at their own pace.

Our virtual workroom is a new concept with live get togethers, French Jacket Clinics, Muslin Fitting workshops, and so much more.

There are free custom studio patterns for members, an online forum, tutorials, pets, and we’ve added videos.

Our new 14 part series, sewing a Couture French Jacket has a new video uploaded every Monday on YouTube - these include all of the in person technqiues I teach plus the ones we don’t have time for in a workshop.

And our studio patterns have also launched - these are professionally drafted, extentively tested and timeless… and we’ve included a free one on the website to get you started.

And now, I am off to take a nap!
